Family Therapy

The family encounters many difficulties throughout the lifespan.  There are often difficulties that arise as a result of divorce and separation or when two families are brought together because of a marriage.  Other situations such as parent-teen or sibling problems might present to be a challenge for the family.

Family therapy can be facilitated in order to seek a resolution.  A counselor welcomes the entire family, or in some situations, a part of it, and treats the family as the client, not just an individual.  This approach to therapy includes multiple members identifying the problem, seeking intervention as a whole, and accomplishing their identified and final goals for therapy.
