I was born and raised in Lafayette and graduated from UL Lafayette with a degree in Education.  I moved to Ohio and got my Master of Arts in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2004. I spent 7 more years in Ohio doing individual counseling with children and adolescents. I decided to move back to Lafayette in 2011 to be closer to family, friends, and the culture that I love down here.  Since moving back to Louisiana, I have worked with children, teens, and adults on issues ranging from both Mental Health to Substance Abuse.

           

In 14 years of counseling, I have worked to help children, teens, and adults overcome struggles with stress, behaviors, anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. I believe much of the work of counseling is helping people change their perspective of themselves, their life, and others to handle the stress and difficulties that are present in everyone’s life. How we see things affects our mood and attitudes which impacts our ability to function in life.
